I have always loved Aprons. Many many aprons have hung on the back of my door thru the years….. currently I think I have about 4 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, pink everyday one…plus a few standby ones that are half aprons instead of full length)
One of my earliest memories of Christmas, was a Holly Hobby Christmas apron I used to wear to make cookies. I felt so grownup with a Apron! I was only like 3-4 but I sure thought I was grown up 😛 When I was young, I would wear fluffy billowing full size aprons everyday just because they made me feel like a pioneer woman. I would imagine I was doing all sorts of work on a farm. Aprons provided great “Scope for the imagination”.
When I found time on my hands to play with my embroidery machine, my first idea was to make aprons. Fun prints with adorable cooking related designs stitched on the top sounded marvellous! Then I realized I couldn’t do what I wanted with the simple machine I had then. But I had the money for a Ellisimo and caught the dream of what I could do with it…..and the rest is history 😉 so in a slight way aprons got me into this whole embroidery thing.
One of the things I love to do is easy little toddler aprons…I just get the blanks at hobby lobby (with the good old 40% coupon!) and then stitch some cute design that strikes my fancy. So for my first give-away for my blog…..drummm rollll please……
a little monkey baker apron!
(that is not a very creative title but I can’t think of a better one at the moment)
The bear that is modeling it is not available….but I didn’t have a toddler to try it on so the bear volunteered.
It is a handydandy little apron with pockets. If you would like it just comment and say who it would be for 🙂 I’ll pick a winner at random Next Tuesday!
Here is a some of other aprons I have made in the last couple months…which is your favourite?
Children’s Aprons….
And Adult ones..pardon the less than professional pictures (Actually all mine are unprofessional) but these are worse because I wasn’t really planning on using them in blog post at some point…but life gives surprises sometimes 🙂
Don’t forget to comment if you want the Little monkey Apron!!

It is 18.5 inches long not counting the neck loop. So I think it would probbaly work fine, just depending on how much protection you need. I mean technically I can wear it 😉 it just isn’t very helpful for protection 😀

Pink would be adorable! But I don’t think I saw any pink ones at hobby lobby where I got the little aprons. Plus the koala one was for a little boy so pink wouldn’t be the best 😉 I might be making a bunch for some little girls soon…I’ll see if I can find pink for them.
