“I think we should make some jam again.” Josefina said as she was reading the story of how she and Susan made jam several years ago. “ouch Debbie! you kicked me in the head.”

” Oops sorry!” Debbie quickly adjusted her foot. “I really like these stories you are making of the adventures we used to have, Ellen” Debbie as she munched on popcorn.

Ellen was busily typing on the computer and just said “mmmph”

“The only thing I don’t like is…. I don’t want my name out there,” Josefina said thoughtfully. “You said anyone can buy these books. I’m not sure I want the entire internet to know my name.”

“What if paparazzi came after us?? ” Elizabeth was also concerned. “How about I use my middle name? I could be Violet. “

“VIOLENT??” That it a terrible idea!” Bridget was horrified.

“no no! Violet…like the flower.” Elizabeth corrected her. “Elizabeth Violet is my full name. I could just go by Violet in Ellen’s stories.”

“I like that idea, I could be Maria!” Josefina agreed.

“Ellen are you listening?” Debbie threw a popcorn kennel at Ellen. That got her attention.

She lifted her glasses to peer at the other dolls. “That could be arranged I suppose.”

“Wouldn’t that be strange if people were expecting us to be you know…us? I want to keep my name.” Bridget didn’t have a middle name but didn’t want to admit it.

“No one has to change their name if they don’t want to, but if they do, I can edit it out for them. I can also add the phrase “Names were changed to protect the innocent” I saw that in a tv show once. That will make it official.” Ellen went back to typing.

“That definitely leaves me and Bridget out!” Debbie said cheerfully while continuing to munch on the popcorn. “I have been called many things but “innocent” is not one of them.”

Bridget snorted and choked on her popcorn, She agreed that she tended to get into too much mischief to be “innocent” but that “names have been changed to protect the guilty” didn’t sound right.”

“How did you say people were going to read these, Ellen”? Josphina aka Maria directed the conversation back on topic.

“They will buy them as digital files, and then print them like books.” Ellen said as she kept clicking away at the keys.

“When do we get the coloring pages?” Bridget wanted to know.

“I’m not sure. I haven’t figured that part out yet. Susan said she was going to handle it for me.” Ellen replied.

“Right now I have about 5 stories done. The making jam story, when we gave that history lesson, making Christmas cookies, gardening story and finally when we did that big birthday cake project.”

“Are you working on the story of when Bridget made those paprika pancakes now?” Debbie inquired.

“For the record I’m much better at it now!!” Bridget exclaimed. Ellen agreed that yes Bridget was a fine cook now. And that was the next story that was going up.

“Didn’t Emily say something about doing audiobooks too?” Elizabeth aka Violet the violent inquired.

“Yes, She said it might be fun for kids to color the pages while they listen to the audio book. But that isn’t ready quite yet either.” Ellen answered.

“Do we get to vote on what stories are next?” Debbie wanted to know. “If you are going to be the official story teller, Does that mean we should call you Dr. Watson? ooo Can I be sherlock holmes???” Debbie wasn’t even waiting for Ellen to answer before piling on more questions.

At this point the popcorn munching and many questions were becoming a major distraction from Ellen finishing her work. She sighed, “Yes if you let me work in peace and quiet, then Yes I’ll let you pick the next one.”

That did it. The dolls dispersed to let Ellen work.

Yes! I’m turning the blog stories into printable/ downloadable pdf that will be listed in my etsy store. My hope is this will accomplish what I always wanted with this blog. Create stories for little girls to read and enjoy. This way they can read them offline and as books. I will be getting coloring pages of the dolls soon, Plus I hope to do audio books of me reading aloud the stories. Let me know which stories you want to be done next!
