Samantha was sleeping….it was still very early and not fully light yet.

She woke up and enjoyed that delicious feeling of being awake but not having to get out of bed yet. Then suddenly she sat up!

She remembered what she had planned to do today!! She jumped out of bed to get ready for the day.

(While she is getting ready I will explain that her pj’s were made from a vintage baby doll pattern I had. The teddy bear embroidery is from Thread n Scissors. Like the other thread n scissors design I used recently on a dress, this teddy bear was a $1 clearance set. Awesome Deal! I did not make the bunny slippers, they are super cute but they came from Hobby Lobby. )

Samantha was  excited about the day because they  would be getting a new tricycle. She was looking forward to playing out side ALLLL day with Bonnie and Susan. Plus she had a new dress for the day! Days are always better if you have a new dress 🙂

The tricycle didn’t arrive till the afternoon so they spent the morning playing with the wagon after breakfast.

They took turns riding and pushing each other in the wagon. Samantha wanted to go fast when it was her turn to ride. So both Bonnie and Susan helped push her.

They also experimented with Susan pulling while Bonnie pushed to see if that went faster.

It was faster but Susan didn’t like it because she didn’t like feeling like she might get run over.

Then the tricycle arrived!!! Oh it was so fun! it was their size! so fun to have something their own size instead of trying to use the big one. A wagon and a tricycle their own size was pretty exciting for the dolls.

Susan suggested racing the wagon and the tricycle…

….but Bonnie said it was too hard to pedal on the grass.

They moved to the cement, which was a smoother easier to pedal on surface. Samantha got to ride the tricycle this time.

There we go! I finally got her to hold still so I could get a picture of the dress 🙂 The embroidered flowers are from Nivia’s design “the Littles small design collection volume. 1” It is a hard to find set, but if you come across it, the designs are great for doll dresses! This dress is very similar to the one Lanie wore to the baseball game  But this dress has  the added detail of a collar, and the bodice is solid.

Bonnie got to ride while Susan pulled the wagon.

ZOOOM!! Samantha flew by them! Susan tried to keep up but Samantha was faster.

Susan was determined to keep up!

She ran so fast that Bonnie started to fall out of the wagon!

“Eek!! Slow down a little  bit Susan!!” cried Bonnie.

Susan didn’t want her friend to get hurt so she slowed down and Samantha won the race.

Susan trotted in  close behind her. “Tricycles are just faster than wagons. ” she sighed.

“You almost won!” said Samantha

“Plus you had my extra weight” laughed Bonnie “I think you could out run it if you were just running. You are fast!!”.

Susan started to reply…..

But then something that in Samantha’s opinion  was nothing short of a depressing disaster happened!!!
